Best way to introduce a puppy to horses?

just curious, why would you keep your dog at someone else place?...anyways, I bought an Australian shep. a year ago. Our horses live at our house and we have a lot of land so my puppy pretty much followed me every where i went (we was leash trained too but he stays right next to me when we are around the farm so its not needed unless we go out) at first he would go to the barn with me and look up at the horses while they were in their stalls. He didn't really know what to think of them at first but after he got use to their presence I picked him up and let them smell each other. they are now literally best friends and even try and eat together out of the same pan lol (trying to break that). We go on trail rides together when we have time and my dog is always at the barn with me. Just slowly and safely introduce them and you will be fine. :) Good luck!
